Khao Sam Roi Yot was Thailand's first coastal national park, and its landscape is unusual: sharp limestone peaks rise straight out of flat coastal land and broad wetlands full of wildlife. The name means "Mountain of Three Hundred Peaks". As well as the jagged skyline, the park holds the largest freshwater marsh in the country and Phraya Nakhon Cave, where a royal pavilion stands in sunlight falling through an opening in the cave roof.
The day begins with a boat across to Laem Sala Beach and a hike of about 400 m, with more than 400 steps, up to the cave. After some time on the beach you walk the marsh boardwalk, stop for lunch and make a short climb to Khao Daeng Viewpoint before the drive back. Park and boat fees, lunch and an English-speaking guide are included.

After a boat ride from Bang Pu to Laem Sala Beach, the trail to the cave is around 400 m with over 400 steps. It is rated moderate, so you need reasonable fitness.
Transfers, an English-speaking guide, the boat to Laem Sala, national park and boat fees, front-of-line entry to Phraya Nakhon Cave, lunch with refreshments and safety support. Entry to Kaeo or Sai Cave, if you pick that option, costs extra.
The tour costs ฿1,800 per person. Drinks, additional meals, souvenirs and tips are extra.
The tour is aimed at active travellers and families. Keep in mind the moderate cave hike with its many steps.
Wear sturdy shoes with good grip, as the paths and cave floor can be slippery, and comfortable clothes. Pack sun protection, a hat, water, a camera, insect repellent, and swimwear and a towel for the beach.
