Local vineyards and tastings in the Hua Hin hills
Thailand's Premier Wine Destination • Est. 2001
Nestled in the mountains 36km west of Hua Hin, Monsoon Valley Vineyard (formerly Hua Hin Hills) is Thailand's flagship wine destination. Built on a former elephant corral at 150 meters elevation, this 560-acre estate produces internationally acclaimed wines that defy expectations of tropical winemaking. The unique microclimate—with cooling ocean breezes, mountain protection, and sandy loam soil—allows grape varieties like Shiraz, Colombard, and Chenin Blanc to thrive. Founded by Chalerm Yoovidhya (whose family co-founded Red Bull), Monsoon Valley has won medals at prestigious competitions including the AWC Vienna International Wine Challenge.
